Boeing’s Pension Plan Conversion Proposal

Seeking to reduce its defined benefit plan pension uncertainties, Boeing has proposed to offer new hires a defined contribution (DC) plan only. This is in line with a 30-year tendency, according to PRC Executive Director Olivia S. Mitchell. She notes that “the trend has been away from defined-benefit plans in the US, and I see no reason for this to change.”  To read the full article, click here.
