This volume, entitled Reshaping Retirement Security, is our newest book in the Pension Research Council/Oxford University Press series. Chapters examine lessons for retirement planning and long-term financial security, in view of the massive shocks to stock markets, labor markets, and pension plans resulting from the financial crisis. The aim of the work is to rethink the form and feasibility of retirement in the new economic era, investigating the resilience of defined contribution and defined benefit plans in the face of financial and economic disorder.
